Vineyard Tour
While we still don’t have a tasting room, we wanted to share the beauty of the vineyard we call home. We hope you will be able to join us at the Cass Vineyard and Winery in Paso Robles this coming Spring, on Saturday, March 4, 2017. We have a full day of activities planned that will showcase not only the vineyard but the past, present and future of Ascension Cellars.

1st VINTAGE LUNCHEON - Noon-2:00pm
What better way to start off the day than a look back to our first vintage. Many of these wines have not been poured in quite a few years, but we wanted to show you where it all began. This is a singular chance to taste these wines paired with great food by Cass’s master of cuisine, Chef Jacob Lovejoy. The wines being poured are all extremely limited, under 3 cases each left on the planet. Less after this lunch.

Winery Owner Steve Cass takes us out into the vineyard where we get the nitty gritty about grape-growing in Paso and what makes Cass grapes so special. We enjoy a few sips along the way…
VINTAGE VARIATION SEMINAR - 3:00-4:00pm
Vertical Tasting and Cheese Pairing
We return to the winery, where our winemaker Erick Allen will take us through three different side-by-side tastings of Ascension Cellars amazing reds - 2011 / 2012 Trinity GSM, 2011 / 2014 Mayhem Syrah and the 2012 / 2013 Soul Shaker Cab/Syrah. We will discover how these wines were crafted and taste their evolution first hand, discovering how vintage plays out in the glass. We can’t have wine without cheese, so we will be pairing each flight with different cheeses to showcase their deliciousness.
